Every bathroom remodel starts with the same thing - stripping everything back to see what you're really working with. Old drywall, outdated plumbing rough-ins, walls that have seen better days. That's exactly where this one started. Walls torn down, old fixtures out, a brand new Bootz tub set in place and ready to go. Clean slate.
Once the demo was done, we got to work on the bones. Fresh moisture-resistant drywall went up on the shower walls - the kind specifically rated for wet areas. This step matters more than most people realize. Skipping it or cutting corners here is how bathrooms end up with mold problems a few years down the road. We don't skip it.
Then came the tile work. Bright white ceramic tile, floor to ceiling across all three walls of the tub surround. Grout lines kept tight and consistent throughout. Built-in corner shelving tied right into the tile layout. It's a clean, classic look - and it's one that holds up for years without becoming a maintenance headache.
What we love about this kind of remodel is that it's fully custom to the homeowner. The fixture choices, the tile selection, the layout decisions - all of it gets worked out based on what fits that specific bathroom and that specific family. No cookie-cutter packages. No pushing you toward whatever's easiest for us.
Whether your bathroom needs a full gut job or just a focused update to the shower area, the process starts the same way - with a conversation about what you actually want. That's how we build bathrooms that feel right for the people using them every single day.
