A burst pipe doesn't wait for a good time. One minute everything is fine, and the next you've got water spreading through walls, soaking into drywall, and working its way behind finishes you can't even see. That's exactly what this homeowner was dealing with - and it's the kind of situation where every hour you wait makes things worse.
We started with a full inspection before touching anything. We used a FLIR thermal imaging camera to map out exactly where moisture had traveled. That's not a step most people think about, but it's critical. Water hides. It gets into wall cavities, above ceilings, under window frames - and if you don't find it all upfront, you're setting the stage for mold growth down the road. The moisture readings we pulled from the wall openings confirmed there was more saturation than what was visible on the surface.
Once we had the full picture, we set up proper containment using plastic sheeting sealed with 3M tape to keep dust and debris from spreading to the rest of the home. Then we got into the demo - pulling damaged drywall and materials that were too far gone to save. After that, we brought in our water-damage-series dehumidifiers and high-velocity air movers to start pulling moisture out of the structure. The equipment runs continuously and does the heavy lifting of drying everything down to safe levels before any rebuild begins.
The whole process - inspection, containment, sanitizing, demo, drying, cleanup, and debris haul-off - was handled start to finish by our team. The homeowner didn't have to coordinate multiple contractors or figure out what came next. We managed it all so they could focus on getting back to normal life.
Water damage is stressful enough without having to chase down answers. When you work with a team that does this every day, you get a clear process, the right equipment, and no loose ends left behind.
